What is your favorite part about working in the industry?
Meeting new people every day and seeing smiles on their faces
What’s one of your favorite memories from working in this position?
There are so many, but I think my favorite memory was when my son started working with me.
Can you describe a time when you were able to create a memorable experience for a guest?
I made different types of food for customers. I’ve even created different dishes and Exlines’ added them to the menu.
What are your favorite places to visit in Memphis?
Sunrise Memphis, walking around Downtown, and Cash In Fitness.
What is something you learned in this position that has changed your life for the better?
I’m more humble now. I wasn’t always that way. But in customer service you learn to deal with people who aren’t kind to you, and you have to figure out how to be kind regardless. I feel like everyone needs to be in the hospitality industry at some point. You learn some major lessons.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in the hospitality industry?
Put God first, and don't be afraid to show love.
