Sie Bradley has worked in hospitality for six years. He currently serves as a concierge at the Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel. Meet Sie Bradley!

How did you get started in the hospitality industry?

I've been working in hospitality for six years. Whether working in restaurants or hotels, I’ve always provided great customer service. As a concierge at the Sheraton Memphis Downtown, I've found a love for helping people and working to make their stay here exquisite.

What’s one of your favorite things about working as a concierge?

Currently there are only two of us working as a concierge, and when we have a lot of guests arriving, I like to spread my work around evenly for all of our guests. So even if I can’t walk you all the way to your room, I’ll make sure to load up your luggage, and get you all the information you need about the hotel and its amenities but also the city as well.

What places do you recommend to people when they’re visiting Memphis?

We have lots of great things going on here in Memphis: great restaurants, great music, great food, as well as a lot of rich history. So there's lots of stuff to do, especially in the downtown area. One of my favorite places to go is Central Station on South Main. They have a wonderful hotel, a great bar and lounge area, and a fantastic restaurant called Bishop. Central Station is right next to the Malco Powerhouse Cinema Grill as well, so there’s so much to do on one corner of downtown Memphis.

In the experience that you've had in hospitality, what advice would you give to somebody who's freshly coming into their first job in the hospitality industry?

I look at any role in the hospitality industry as a family business, honestly,  treat everybody as my own and I want to make them feel very welcome. I’ve talked to guests who have lost family members, who have lost jobs, lost relationships, and I try to move them toward a happier place when they come here. So I’d encourage anyone in the hospitality industry to be welcoming and open-minded. You never know what people are going through, but you can help ease their stay by making their time in Memphis a welcoming and positive experience.

Thank you Sie, for all you do to welcome visitors to Memphis!
