Tennessee is well-known for its great outdoors. There are 13 national parks in Tennessee, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, receiving over 14.1 million visitors in 2021. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the most visited national parks in the country. There are also 57 state parks and 84 natural areas across Tennessee.
In the last five years, Tennessee’s Leisure and Hospitality industry has grown by 7.3 percent, the fastest job growth in the Southeast and the 5th fastest in the nation.
