Meet Our People 2024 Roundup: The Best Places to Visit in Memphis, from Industry Insiders

Through the Meet Our People blog, we get to know amazing Memphians from across the hospitality industry. We love to ask them what places and experiences they recommend to their guests visiting Memphis. Here’s a quick round-up of some of our favorite suggestions!

Tina Minor, Holiday Inn Express & Suites: Porch and Parlor, Bass Pro Shop in the Pyramid, and Bosco’s on Sundays for Joyce Cobb’s jazz brunch.

Marcus “Suge” Henderson, Opulent Concierge Car Service: For people looking to try barbecue I tend to recommend places like Blues City Cafe, Cozy Corner, and Rendezvous. For soul food, I suggest people go to Sugar Shack and M. Girlee’s.

Cole Early, Overton Park Shell: Indie Memphis, Goner Fest, and Grizzlies games.

Travius Richardson, Blue Suede Brigade: If you're ever on Beale Street, follow your nose and follow your ears.

Justin Wiggs, Shelby Farms Park: I love to recommend places to eat in Memphis, and my favorite place has got to be One & Only BBQ. And for activities, I love to go fishing. Herb Parsons Lake is a great place for that.

Connie Cason, National Civil Rights Museum: Of course the National Civil Rights Museum. That’s my first choice. The Mason Temple, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Rose Baker, Orpheum Theatre: Overton Park, because there's a little bit of everything for everyone, and Central BBQ.

Bryana Polk, LEO Events: The listening room at Central station, IKEA – it really is an adult field trip – and Shelby Farms.
