HR Matters - March 20: Meet Lauren Bermudez, Transportation Program Manager at the Downtown Memphis Commission

Once a month, Welcome to Memphis hosts HR Matters, an engaging discussion designed to tackle all things HR-related. This event is perfect for seasoned HR hospitality professionals and those just starting out in the field! This month we are excited to discuss an issue that affects so many hospitality and tourism workers: barriers to transportation.

Our discussion leader, Lauren Bermudez, is the Transportation Program Manager at the Downtown Memphis Commission. Her projects include sidewalk improvement programs, parking-demand management strategies, electric vehicle infrastructure planning, and bicycle education and encouragement programs.

Lauren will lead us in a conversation about resources like Groove On-Demand, the Downtown Hospitality Parking Program, Explore Bike Share, and more.

“I’m looking forward to connecting with HR professionals and sharing transportation tools that will help them attract and retain employees in downtown and around Memphis,” Lauren said.

We hope that small business owners, HR pros, and anyone who oversees hiring and employee relations will join us for HR Matters! This month, we are debuting a new format and a new time. Please join us virtually on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect, learn, and grow. Click this link to register.
